Its always great having an insight to the local surf scene, and this month Avenues Magazine has brought us the Sumner Longboarding Community. Tim Clemence graces a full page spread with a top turn mirroring the gracefullness of a gull in flight, and the other pics give a real sence of the vibe. The story covers everything from being shut out of the water due to the quake, the background of the club and its crew and even some tips on sufing, oh and a bit about the famous Denis Quade.

This has got to be one of the best wave pools we have ever seen. Al Ain is several hours away from Dubai (SE of)/Abu Dhabi (East of) near the Oman border, about as far as you can get from the ocean within the UAE. check out the video.. looks fun as!!

Magnets been scoring some good size swell lately while Christchurch has been left flat and lonely. Heres a shot from last Sunday, its a bit lumpy and Bumpy but still some good ones to be had.. Fingers crossed for more on the way!!

Thanks for all your support over the craziness of last year. It's good to know that even one good wave can make it all easier. A lot of you have been getting new boards, the new fush buzz bars have been a real hit, and the barron hogs and boss hogs are literally walking out the doors.

There are some exciting new developments around the corner, which we'll keep you posted with, but in the meantime, we are trying to get all your board orders to you asap. So for now, the store hours will be;

Wow what an insane time for waves these holidays. Sorry its been so long since the last post, but we are back with tales of pumping waves and magical missions!! This year the Catlins was the plan, and after 3 flat days, the surf picked up and the beaches lit up. Usually the deep south is known for cold raw swell, but this summer it brought us the best weather in the country, sunny skys and clean solid swell. Heres some pics of PK, after one of our morning surfs... live is good. Happy New Year everyone.. bring on 2012

Taj Burrow has defeated fellow WT competitor Adriano de Souza, Adam Melling and Nat Young in a high performance final in awesome 3-4ft waves. The wind picked up, but Taj stayed firm and picked off the set waves performing some critical schnapps and flooaaters, to take it out, check out the footage at teh link below.

Everyone was amping for the seemily perfect conditions that were due to hit us last weekend, but apart from a lucky few, most of us missed out. Left with a big messy shifty swell that just didnt live up to expectations.. A few of us shot up to Kaikoura which was supposed to be a "Sure Thing" , but alas all we found was this... maybe next time huh.

 Heres some pics from a fun Taylors session we had a few weeks ago now, that slipped through the cracks. So we thought we'd get them up on the site, so you can get amped for the next NE swell.
