Bells Beach Boil Over

Nat Young
Carissa Moore

Talk about exciting the brazillians and rookies stepped up this year at bells to push out the big guns early. It kept us on th eedge of our seats the whole event. Stoked to see Nat Young shredding on his backhand, but De Souza tore through to take out the final. With waves from big and stormy to nice and clean, it was epic out there. The Girls were tearing it up with some of the best surfing we have ever seen, Carissa Moore taking it out.

Jay Quin 5th at Margaret River Pro

Jay Quin with one of his waves to get into the final

Our kiwi shredder, put together a the biggest two-wave heat-total of the day to get into the quarters of the Drug Aware Pro and an equal 5th for the competition. Quin who had recently retired from competing full time to start a family seems to be in career best form.. and was unlucky to loose to WCT top surfer Josh Kerr in the Quarters. Go kiwi!!

Slater the King of Kirra

Slater in a Kirra Pit

The Quiky Pro Gold Coast, produced some isane barrells and performances from the worlds top WCT surfers. In Idealic conditions of clean 4-5ft waves, the finals showcased Kirra back to its best. Kelly pulled out the standout wave of the final with a deep long barrel, then a ridiculous huge full-velocity forehand gaff, which left the wave destroyed.. incredable!! Parko and Fanning were both showing the goods early season too so cant wait for the next stop Bells Beach.. Bring in on!

Ricardo Christie was a standout at the event racing into the Semi Finals of The Breaka Burleigh Pro, ending up finishing the event in equal third place. Despite his blistering form throughout the early rounds of the event, Christie was unable to replicate the same high scores he'd found earlier in the event, while surfing against Adam Melling in the first Semifinal who had a 18+ score in the semi..
